Cervejaria Trindade

Traditional fare rarely comes better than the food served here

Cervejaria Trindade serves up traditional Portuguese seafood and steaks in a listed Portuguese building on a site which dates back to 1294.

If you are in search of an authentic Portuguese dining experience then Cervejaria Trindade is for you. This vast restaurant can host up to 400 diners at a time, yet it does not compromise on service or quality.

The building has gone through many changes and since been destroyed in the earthquake of 1755 and was reborn as a beer factory…. in 1836 it was the first beer tavern in Portugal. The stunning tiled mosaics on the walls of the main hall were commissioned in 1863 and they are some of the finest mosaics you’ll find in Portugal. Nowadays, Cervejaria Trindade serves up wonderful traditional Portuguese fresh seafood and meat dishes.

It’s always a good sign when you see a restaurant thronged with locals, so Cervejaria Trindade is well worth a visit but do try to make a reservation in peak season to avoid disappointment.
