With over 1,000 bottles of wine to choose from, if you are looking to learn about and sample great Portuguese wines, then you will love Wines of Portugal.

Set under the arches of the impressive Praça do Comércio you’ll find the tasting room of Wines of Portugal where you can browse and taste wonderful wines at your leisure or experience the expert tours which are available throughout the day.

The tasting room works on system of automated measured dispensing from selected wines. Go to the reception area where you will be given a wineglass after-which you then pre-load a card with euros that you use to swipe at the automated dispensers to pour your wine of choice.

Each measure is a small glass of wine which varies in cost between €1.50 and €4.50. There is a brief description of the wines available for tasting and you can purchase full bottles from a selection of over a 1,000 wines and ports for drinking in the tasting room or to take away.

The wines are selected from the various wine producing regions of Portugal and you will be given a map to show where each region is located.
